Our Full Time Course

Our full-time courses are the perfect blend of practical training, combined with course specific academics. It is aimed at those looking to expand their skills and knowledge in all aspects of the Performing Arts.

Students will work with Perth’s most prestigious and experienced industry specialists, as well as some of the best teachers, choreographers and professionals from interstate and overseas.

Academics Years 9 - 12

The8House offers an alternative schooling solution tailored for students
passionate about the Performing Arts. We provide a balanced program that
allows your child to advance artistically, whilst also achieving their academic
goals.

Education is our top priority, as we believe a strong education is essential for a successful career in the Performing Arts.

Our model gives students the chance to receive top-tier Performing Arts training from industry professionals, while completing their schoolwork.

Through the assistance of our friendly staff, students must enrol with an approved Distance Education provider prior to starting the full-time program atThe8House. Academic work is completed through an online portal with the Distance Education provider’s support. The full-time timetable will have scheduled lessons for students to dedicate to their academic studies.

Students may also complete a Certificate III or Certificate IV in Dance, a Diploma of Professional Dance (Elite Performance) or a Diploma of Musical Theatre (dependent upon their school year/level) to supplement their academics.

A tutor will be onsite at all times to assist students with their schoolwork, alongside their assigned academic supervisor.

This foundational program focuses on core dance techniques, including ballet, jazz, contemporary, and street dance, providing students with a solid base in performance and artistry.

Attendance
The courses run over one year in line with WA school terms.

Full-time student attendance requirements:
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday from 8:45am-3:30pm

Part-time student attendance requirements:
One or two days per week from 8:45am – 3:30pm

Students may also opt to complete a qualification on a part-time basis over 2 years.

Payment Terms

Deposit

A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 must be paid upon enrolment to secure your place in your chosen course. The deposit amount will be deducted from the remaining course balance.

Payment Options

– Pay up front in full to receive a 5% discount on the yearly fee.
– Pay in 4 equal instalments at the beginning of each term.
– Individualised payment plans can be implemented upon request.

Student Loans

Study loans are available from student loan providers to eligible students. Please enquire for further information.

Admissions Process

At The8House we pride ourselves on keeping the quality of admissions to a high standard. Each applicant will be assessed on an individual basis through our face to face and/or online auditions.

For students to be accepted into a qualification course, they must be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of Dance or Musical Theatre training (minimum of 4 years experience), and display practical abilities suited to a Certificate or Diploma level.
